After a long five-month hiatus, it was decided to reopen the Sajek Tourist Center in Rangamati on September 1. Baghaichhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ahsan Habib (Jitu) confirmed this on Wednesday (August 26) evening.

He further said that the decision to reopen the Sajek Tourism Center in Rangamati was taken on September 1 in consultation with the resort owners as per the instructions of the Ministry of Health regarding the opening of the tourist center.

Lalming Maya, the owner of the resort, said that although all the tourist centers in the country were opened, the Sajek tourist center was closed. We welcome the decision to open. Resort owners are facing financial losses as tourist centers have been closed for a long time due to the global epidemic. The trader thinks that it is possible to make up for the loss by opening it.

"We will not rent a room to any tourist without wearing a mask," he added.
